Renovation of the two bathrooms in a flat in Orihuela. The owner wanted a simple, timeless design, with storage space and no shower baskets.
Both bathrooms are reconfigured: the bath and bidet go, and each is left with a level-access shower, with a linear drain and glass screen. Instead of baskets, open niches in the wall; the vanity units and toilets are wall-hung to keep the floor clear.
In the main bathroom, the same sand-toned porcelain tile covers floor and walls, and the mirror has integrated lighting. The children's bathroom combines a light background with a wall of vertical tiles in mineral grey behind the washbasin and the round mirror.
A continuous suspended ceiling hides the services, and a line of light in the ceiling of each shower washes the walls.
